 USA-Honduras at Plaza 810 Zone

As many of you know, this Saturday's World Cup qualifier between the USA and Honduras will be shown only on closed-circuit TV. The company that owns the rights to the match is selling it only to bars/restaurants and other meeting places for watch parties. Our friends at the 810 Zone has come through for soccer fans in town, working out a deal with the providers to show the match here in KC.

The game kicks off Saturday night at 9 p.m. CT, with the Wizards playing at Chivas USA at 9:30 p.m. CT. Both games will be shown on TV screens, but the sound for the USA match will be played. Wizards captain Jimmy Conrad is currently in Miami with the U.S. National Team ahead of the match and could be a part of the game-day squad in Honduras.

Thanks to all who made this possible. I would've paid 20 bucks, but now that money will get 4 beers instead. Can the USSF refuse to sell TV rights to Honduras for the home leg if they do this with our away games? It doesn't seem in FIFA's best interest to have this game with such limited distribution.
