 The Rain Won't Stop Us

Just a reminder to everyone that the rain won't stop the match (unless it's CRAZY lightning non-stop for the whole afternoon). Come on out to CommunityAmerica Ballpark rain or shine for our 2 p.m. showdown with Cuauhtemoc Blanco and the Chicago Fire. Speaking of the Fire, check out this story from Ives regarding Head Coach Denis Hamlett and defender Bakary Soumare. Aye.

Also be on the lookout for two new field boards at CAB today. One will feature the URL (www.GOUSABID.com) for the USA Bid Committee's new website to help gather grassroots support for the effort to bring the FIFA World Cup back to the USA in 2018 or 2022. The other will feature the logo and slogan for Kansas City's bid to U.S. Soccer to be a host city. The moniker "The American City" represents all of the uniquely American traits of our community. Let us know what you think after the game. Before the game, visit www.GOUSABID.com and sign the petition to help us bring back the FIFA World Cup. The petition is currently at 24,330 signatures since the site was launched Wednesday. Help it get to 25,000 by game time.
