First of all, a big congrats to Davy! He has been named to his 1st MLS All-Star team by Houston and All-Star Head Coach Dominic Kinnear. In fact, Davy was the only player chosen by Kinnear who doesn't play for Houston or Seattle. We all know how excellent he has been over the last 8 seasons, and the rest of the country is taking notice. Davy has played in 3 of 4 USA games in the Gold Cup, scoring a goal and registering an assist in the process. Read this article at Major League Soccer Talk for more on Davy's case for staying in the National Team picture.
The MLS All-Stars take on Everton FC, former club of KCW Juniors coach Paul Rideout, next Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. CT at Rio Tinto Stadium. The match will be broadcast live on ESPN2 and Galavision. We'll host a watch part at Fox and Hound in OP courtesy of the fine folks of Budweiser. Apparently a few tickets are still available through www.RioTintoStadium.com if you're interested in making the trip.
