 Craziness in St. Louis

First, Jack Jewsbury was delayed twice at KCI waiting for a plane from Colorado. Then, Atlas was delayed by about six hours due to a storm in Chicago. They were scheduled to arrive in St. Louis at around 10:45 last night. Well, they didn't get here until more like 4:45 a.m. Atlas was originally scheduled to train today at 10 a.m., but that was canceled so their players could get some rest. They will now train at 5 p.m. tonight. Our guys are about to train in KC and will arrive in St. Louis just after 2 p.m. There will be media availability at the team hotel for St. Louis media types.

Ready for Father's Day? Jimmy and Kim Conrad are. Read this AP story (run here on SI.com) about our favorite #12, his dad and why they are the way they are. It's a good read.

Another Father's Day tie-in for our guys was reported today in the KC Star by Terez A. Paylor. He relates the story of Herculez Gomez's dad, who grew up in Guadalajara, getting very excited for the Atlas match. Herc's father grew up and Atlas fan and is ready to see his son play the team he used to support.
