The KCW Juniors U-13 and U-16 teams have qualified for the USYSA Region II finals, while the U-17 team was eliminated by the Chicago Fire Jrs squad on a 90th minute penalty kick. The U-13s play tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. CT in Yankton, South Dakota, while the U-16s kickoff at 8:30 a.m.
The U-13 team advanced past Ambassadors FC of Ohio by a 6-2 score line this morning, before the U-16s beat Westside United FC 1-0 to secure a place in the championship game. The KCW Juniors were represented by U-13, U-15, U-16, U-17, U-18 and U-19 clubs at the U.S. Youth Soccer Regional Championships. The U-16s were the only team not to win Kansas State Cup, but they advanced to Regionals based on their performance in the Midwest Region League.
